Behind a Mask

About The Author

Louisa May Alcott (1832–1888) was an American author best known for her novel Little Women, which has become a classic of children's literature. Born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, Alcott grew up in a family deeply involved in the transcendentalist movement, which influenced her progressive views on social issues. Her works often explore themes of domesticity, work, and women's independence, and she remains a significant figure in American literature for her contributions to the portrayal of strong, complex female characters.
